ACTION COUNTDOWN FOR DUESOUTH XTERRA KNYSNA
Action seekers will swarm to Pezula Private Estate (Knysna) on Thursday, 09 July to put their skills to the ultimate test at the first leg of the gripping 2009/2010 DUESOUTH XTERRA! This year participants will be able to stock up on much needed energy before the race at the Bokomo Breakfast Zone, which opens 08h30 on the morning of the race. Athletes visiting this zone are sure to have an unfair advantage during the day! Consisting of a series of events taking place countrywide, the DUESOUTH XTERRA will culminate in the Western Cape in 2010 with the DUESOUTH XTERRA South African Final. The Knysna leg will see athletes tackle a 3km trail run, 25km mountain bike and 10km trail run. XTERRA Lite athletes will be faced with the same challenge, but just over a shorter distance of a 3km trail run, 12km mountain bike and a 5km trail run. All three legs of the XTERRA and XTERRA Lite will take place in and around the spectacular PEZULA Private Estate. The XTERRA Lite will start at 10h30, followed by the full XTERRA at 12h30. The first 400 entrants will receive an event t-shirt, while all entrants stand a chance to win an ORCA lucky draw prize. Registration will take place on the day from 07h30 on the Field of Dreams. Late entries will also be accepted, however, a late entry fee will apply. DUESOUTH XTERRA Warriors can look forward to chilling out in the Hunters Chill Zone until prize-giving starts. This zone is sure to encourange some record-breaking finishing times on the day!
